Kick-Off Meeting in Lisbon Launches Dual VET Vision for Palestine & Jordan

The PJ-D-VET project, co-funded by the European Union under Erasmus+ (Project #101183444-EDU-2025-CBHE-VET), held its official Kick-Off Meeting in Lisbon on April 23–24, 2025. This milestone event marked the beginning of a 24-month journey to develop a Dual Vocational Education and Training (VET) model for Palestine and Jordan.

 Meeting Highlights

Workshops on curriculum alignment, stakeholder engagement, and accreditation strategies.

Comparative seminars on European Dual VET models led by EVBB, focusing on Germany, Austria, France, and Finland.

Key Objectives

  • Design a Dual VET framework adapted to Palestine and Jordan.
  • Establish institutional partnerships and governance models.
  • Align curriculum with EQF Level 5 and ASCO standards.
  • Prepare deliverables 7, 8, and 9 under Work Package 3.

Strategic Outcomes

  • Agreement on a 2-year diploma with a 50/50 split between school and job training.
  • Identification of legal and social barriers to implementation.
  • Planning for stakeholder workshops in Palestine and Jordan.
  • Travel and training schedule confirmed for 2025–2026.

  • Completion of comparative analysis reports.
  • Finalization of consortium agreement.
  • Upcoming coordination meeting in Brussels (July 2025).
  • Staff training and study visits in Germany, Belgium, and Portugal.
