On February 5, the IEFP, through the Alcoitão Vocational Training and Rehabilitation Center, welcomed a delegation from Palestine and Jordan as part of the project “PJ D VET – The Palestinian-Jordanian Dual Model for Vocational Education and Training.”
The Palestinian and Jordanian delegations included teachers from partner organizations, as well as representatives from Ministries of Education, accreditation bodies, and stakeholders from chambers of commerce and industry. The visit fostered a valuable space for exchange and dialogue on vocational training.
The project’s main objective is to support the establishment of a dual vocational education model inspired by European experiences. Prior to this visit, participants had already explored training centers in Belgium, France, and Germany.
During their time at the Alcoitão Center, the delegation was introduced to the Portuguese vocational training system, with particular emphasis on Level 5 courses. The program also included visits to laboratories and workshops, providing direct exposure to methodologies, equipment, and training practices developed in Portugal.
