Khawarizmi University Technical College Organizes Industry Workshop to Bridge the Gap Between Technical Education and Labor Market Needs Khawarizmi University Technical College organized an Industry Workshop with the participation of representatives from Jordanian companies and faculty members, aiming to discuss the gap between technical education outcomes and labor market requirements.
The workshop served as a specialized dialogue platform that brought together academic expertise and industry representatives to review the skills demanded by the market, analyze the challenges faced by graduates, and explore ways to further develop academic programs to ensure alignment with real professional requirements.
The event was held under the supervision of Ms. Suzan Qadomi, Mr. Ahmad Qadomi, and Ms. Aseel Qadomi, who oversaw the organization and coordination of the workshop’s sessions. The workshop was also visited by Dr. Sultan Qadomi, Chairman of the Board of Directors, who emphasized the importance of strengthening partnerships with the industrial sector and narrowing the gap between academic preparation and labor market needs to prepare qualified and competitive graduates.
The discussions were organized into two main tracks. The first, titled “Design Using AI,” was led by Dr. Doaa Najwat and Mr. Abbas Al-Asmar, with participation from representatives of companies operating in design and digital technologies. The session examined the technical and creative competencies required in this rapidly growing sector.
The second track, “Hybrid Vehicles,” was moderated by Dr. Kholoud Al-Momani, Eng. Ahmad Al-Ayoub, Mr. Laith Al-Batarseh, and Eng. Mohammad Al-Qadomi, with the participation of companies specializing in electric and hybrid vehicles. The discussion focused on analyzing market needs and identifying the most in-demand technical skills in this field.
The workshop concluded with a set of recommendations aimed at strengthening practical training and updating study plans to better align with the needs of Jordanian companies, reflecting the College’s commitment to delivering high-quality, practice-oriented technical education built on effective industry partnership.
