Strategic Coordination and Future Steps at Técnico Lisboa (Day 4 in Lisbon)
After three days of immersive field visits across Portuguese VET institutions, business associations, and municipalities, the PJ-D-VET consortium gathered at Técnico Lisboa for the final day of the study visit. Day 4 was dedicated to a comprehensive Coordination Meeting to consolidate the lessons learned and chart the project’s next strategic steps.
The day began with a networking welcome coffee on campus, setting a collaborative tone for the discussions. At 9:30 AM, the partners dove into the core agenda. A major focus of the session was the Dual VET Implementation Toolkit. The consortium actively discussed the structural proposal presented by EVBB, working collaboratively to review the content, align methodologies, and move toward the final approval of the toolkit. This document is a cornerstone of the PJ-D-VET project, designed to facilitate the implementation of dual vocational training models in Palestine and Jordan.
Partners engaged in a deep reflection on the week’s study visit, drawing vital conclusions from the Portuguese model. The team discussed how the insights gathered from the strong industry ties at CCIP and the Mechatronics School, to the inclusive practices at IEFP Alcoitão and Cascais, will directly impact the future trajectory of the project.
The coordination meeting successfully wrapped up the Portugal study visit. The consortium left Lisbon inspired, highly aligned on their upcoming deliverables, and equipped with practical, real-world examples of how to effectively connect learners with real career paths.
