Introducing PJDVET: Dual Vocational Education for Palestine & Jordan
The Palestine-Jordan Dual Vocational Education and Training (PJDVET) project is a strategic, EU-funded initiative under the Erasmus+ programme, designed to reshape vocational education in Palestine and Jordan. By introducing a dual system that combines academic instruction with structured, hands-on training in real work environments, the project aims to bridge the gap between education and employment.
PJDVET draws on proven European models—particularly the German Dual VET system—while adapting its principles to the unique socio-economic and institutional contexts of both countries. The project promotes innovation, inclusivity, and sustainability in vocational education through curriculum development, capacity-building for VET staff, and active engagement with industry and accreditation bodies.
Over a 24-month implementation period, PJDVET will deliver a comprehensive framework for Dual VET, including a two-year diploma aligned with EQF Level 5, stakeholder-approved curricula, and international partnerships. The ultimate goal is to empower youth, enhance employability, and strengthen the role of vocational education as a driver of economic resilience and social development in Palestine and Jordan.
